Introducing myself
 

I'm 38 years old and in 1995 bought a 1983 Mazda RX-7 limited edition model. The rear engine seal blew so I replaced the engine with a remanufactued one from the factory. The local Mazda dealership did the work and ripped me off. In 1997 I sold that RX-7 and bought a 1994 model, which I have owned ever since. The ony thing ever done to the car was I recently replaced the collapsed pre-cat with a 3" down pipe. During the summer I put a mid pipe on and eliminated the cat converter. No aftermarket anything in the engine bay - oh except for the plastic air seperator, which crumbled into pieces. My car has 69,000 original miles on it and is montego blue. I drive it around 1000 miles a year. I love it and will keep it forever.

That really cool that you have that kind of love for your car. As of right now im just starting out. I'll be leaving to korea for a bit. I hope to buy my first FD when i get back. wish me luck.

Thanks for the reply's. I'm just trying to get my 3 posts so I can access some other sections of the site. I didn't think anyone would read it.

The simple fact is that the FD is going to be a collectible very soon. There really weren't that many imported and a good percentage have been forever turned into race cars. With so many people modding them out to the point of destruction they will become harder and harder to find.

The coolest thing about them is that there are so few, especially here in PA. I NEVER see any others on the road,

I'll keep mine until I die or realize that it's worth $100,000 or something - that could take a while.
