HP, never enough!!
Hello rotary heads,
You can call me Ralph. My interest in fast cars lead me to earn a BSME. Upon graduation, I was hired by the US Army and landed in Warren, MI. I thought that was great since I was now a stone throw away form the big 3s and could make the jump anytime. But after 1.5 years of what felt be leaving inside a refrigerator (I’m from FL originally) I packed up and headed to sunny Ventura County, CA where I accepted a job with the US Navy. Mine is an ’87 TII (no power steering, wonder if it’s a classic?:)). Bought it off my brother who bought it new. I fell in love with the car the day I drove it which was days after it was bought new. I told my brother I wanted the car the day he decided to sell. He sold in ’98. There’s 84K miles on the chassis. I’ve done some of the basic upgrades: Rebuilt motor w/3mm Apex, street port, Hybrid turbo, Superchip, upgraded clutch/disk, 3” tubing between the AFM and turbo inlet, cat-less exhaust. Runs great @ ~10-11 psi. I now have a bug to get a bit more excitement out of the car (read: more POWER!:egrin:). I was pointed to Rx7club.com by Rtek7’s Mike Montalvo. After drilling Mike with inquiries, he suggested I tap into the Rtek7 thread in this web site. This site has been a tremendous help since. I will be having the Rtek Stage 2.1 installed. I’ve also just purchased the Greddy FMIC clone offered by XO2 (P.S. – a real nice piece). My HP goal is 330-340 (for now). I attempted to post a question regarding my intent in using 4x850cc injectors in the Rtek7 thread (Are 850s on the primary to bi??) but obviously it will take a few posts beforehand. But if anyone can point me to an existing thread, I'd appreciated. Thx
