Historic rally driver.

My name is Greg Cozier and I'm a historic rally addict.

The most common Historic Rallying classes are: pre-1968, 68 - 74, 75 - 81, 82 - 85, 86 - 90.

Not all events allow the last two classes, so if building a historic car that would be fun to drive and not too rare or expensive to run, it is best to enter 68 - 74 or 75 - 81.

Mazda homologated the RX7 in 75 - 81 Group 2, 82 - 85 Group B and 82 - 85 Group A.

For reasons of cost and eligibility, Group 2 75 - 81 is the most practical class to compete in with an RX7.

When the car is built it must be inspected by an FIA scrutineer and issued with an FIA Historic Technical Passport. This passport is presented at FIA historic rallies around the world during scrutiny and certifies that the car was build to the manufacturer's homologation form, period Appendix J regulations and period practices.

I'll be here asking a bunch of questions and then I'll start a build thread to get right through to HTP inspection.
