Hello from PA
Got my hands on a 1982 FB and drove it home about 500 miles! Extremely happy with it, So many things planned. I hear the rotary community is great and very helpful and kind to each other (hard to find amongst some communities :/ ).
I did run into a a bit of an issue with heat during the drive which I posted about in the technical section. Any help appreciated. |
Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the car! Happen to have any pictures?

Im impressed with the overall condition, even more so since it was from a snow belt area. Here in Ohio its imperative that the cars are stored indoors in the winter and not driven on the roads. The salt will destroy them.

Also, I wanted to start a thread because I can't find what I'm looking for, but I also don't know much about navigating forums, maybe you could point me in the right direction... I love the stock steering wheel, but I want to make it quick release. It seems like the hub adapters are specific to the patterns on the aftermarket wheels but I don't want to use a different one, I just want some added protection for when I leave the car unattended. I just don't want to start a thread that's already been asked, because I know that's a no no. |
At the top of the page, regardless of which section you're in, there's a search link. You can use the search function to find threads related to the topic you have questions about.
My opinion is that that the car is so original, I personally wouldn't change a thing. But if you love the idea and it gives you the extra peace of mind then go for it. I know some of the aftermarket steering wheels offer the quick release function but I've never seen anything like that offered to adapt to a stock wheel. |
