Hello from PA

Got my hands on a 1982 FB and drove it home about 500 miles! Extremely happy with it, So many things planned. I hear the rotary community is great and very helpful and kind to each other (hard to find amongst some communities :/ ).

I did run into a a bit of an issue with heat during the drive which I posted about in the technical section. Any help appreciated.

Haven't had the time to get any real glamour shots yet but here's some crude ones. Also the underside of the car is super clean, I'm ecstatic! Sorry if the formatting is bad lol

Thank you! And yes, I do know that the first owner had it garage kept in the Bronx, and the second owner also garage kept it but had it for just about a year. I am thoroughly impressed with the condition given the northern area.

Im impressed with the overall condition, even more so since it was from a snow belt area. Here in Ohio its imperative that the cars are stored indoors in the winter and not driven on the roads. The salt will destroy them.

Yes, the previous owners both kept the car in the garage and I doubt they were taken out in the wintertime at all. I'm surely not going to be taking it out as I live in PA.

Also, I wanted to start a thread because I can't find what I'm looking for, but I also don't know much about navigating forums, maybe you could point me in the right direction...
I love the stock steering wheel, but I want to make it quick release. It seems like the hub adapters are specific to the patterns on the aftermarket wheels but I don't want to use a different one, I just want some added protection for when I leave the car unattended.
I just don't want to start a thread that's already been asked, because I know that's a no no.

At the top of the page, regardless of which section you're in, there's a search link. You can use the search function to find threads related to the topic you have questions about.

My opinion is that that the car is so original, I personally wouldn't change a thing. But if you love the idea and it gives you the extra peace of mind then go for it. I know some of the aftermarket steering wheels offer the quick release function but I've never seen anything like that offered to adapt to a stock wheel.
