New here introducing myself

I have a 1989 fc convertible that I'm swapping a 5.3l vortec into. Just here for pointers and advice from others in the same build as me and hopefully parts and conversation. Thanks for reading.

Welcome. Why a 5.3 and not stick with the rotary?

Good luck with the swap! I think most people on this forum prefer to keep their rotaries, but if you've already got the v8, it makes sense.
I love those vortecs myself, and they're certainly reliable, strong, and most importantly cheap.
I've heard they can also come out to lighter weight, but sometimes the weight distribution can be off if they aren't far enough back in the engine bay.

do you already have the wiring harness and everything or do you still need to pick engine management and the like?
