I have know of this site and used it for years but decided to join properly.

currently working on a 1985 FB rx7 with too many mods and have 2 FD's one's Broken

Looks good. May I ask what you plan to do with the sunroof drip tubes now that you have filled in their exit behind the doors?

it looks really nice so far what color were you planning on ?

Wow, man, looks awesome. Is it still black? And if you don't mind, why did you rivet the seams, and not stitch weld them? Convenience?

The drip tubes now run to the bottom of the wheel arches near the seals
as for the rivets i wanted the shell to be stiffer but not to stiff as seam welding them make the to stiff and shortens the shells life (cars built to be everyday/Track/Touring) and riveting the shell is something i read about as an best of both worlds alternative
The colour is Renault racing yellow can’t remember the code

FC turbo II bonnet vent (cut out a square section from fb and welded in scoop to make a working vent directed to intake
Flushed indicators and badge holes
Removed Side trim
Flushed rear vents (sunroof run off redirected to underside of car
Removed rear washer jet and wipers
Old anniversary Spoiler found on a scraped car (lucky find)
Glass moon roof
Flared rear arches 1" to allow wider rears
Rolled front arches (to stop tyre damage when lowered)

Since my widebody has an aftermarket sunroof, I did the same thing with the rear drains. Ran a tube down inside the B-pillar that exits at the front inside of the rear wheel well.

This is the first time I've seen rivets used, great idea for DIY. What brand/grade/size/metal type of rivets did you use? Are they the same rivets used for aircraft construction?
