Hello

Just wanted to say hello to everyone. I currently live near Columbia, SC and I have been interested in RX-7's and rotary engines for many years. My best friend in high school got me interested in the cars, his father built RX-7 racecars for SCCA races. I had an 85 GSL in high school and had many fond memories of that car. I recently got an 88 GXL from a co-workers father who practically paid me to take the car off. It had been sitting for a while so I picked it up for a project car. I haven't had a lot of time to begin working on it yet, and have still not been able to get the car to actually fire up. I figure it is going to need a new engine, but have always enjoyed a challenge. I am probably going to have some questions about the car. Does anyone know if there are any places in SC that are trustworthy to find RX-7 parts or even help out with engine rebuilds? I know of a good person in NC, but haven't found much in SC.

Just wanted to say this is the best forum on RX-7s that I have found, so I am glad to be member.

First, hit the "Reading Threads" to get a little more detail on the rules and lay-up of RX-7 Club. Reply to each one only once. You're going to need those posts for the next step. And that occurs when you then hit this link:

Serving the Carolina's

...and there's sure to be someone there who knows exactly the person or garage that can help you. Mind you, there's a LOT of individual talent on this forum and you may just end up with a new friend who can get that beast started for you. ;)

Jonathan, thanks for taking the time to register and welcome aboard to RX-7 Club! :icon_tup:
