I've been a fan of the Rx-7 for 15 years or so. My first Rx-7 was a 1983 GS. I bought the car from a dealership here in MN and it was in near mint condition. The car was originally an automatic but I ended up converting it to a manual. I also installed a Weber carb with intake which I purchased from the local Rx-7 Heaven (back then the shop was located in Rosedale, MN). My second Rx-7 was a 1989 GXL with low miles, I think it had 70,xxx miles when I bought it, again, from a local dealership. My third Rx-7 is the one I currently drive, a 1984 GSLSE. The engine has been rebuilt and the shell has also received attention. My goal is to learn more about the car to a point where I can self-diagnose and self-tune the car. I still consider myself a novice but I hope to improve my knowledge and understanding of the car (electrical, engine, drive train, performance, etc). I currently have a number of questions I hope this group can help me solve so I'm excited to be a member of the Rx-7 Club. My ultimate goal is to turn the car into a decent track car that I can take out to one of the local tracks (Bemidji International Raceway) two or three times each summer.

Thanks for the reply, David, and also congrats on finding an -SE! Here recently, it seems just about 40% of the 1stgen folk joining have found one which is quite amazing considering how expensive these beasts were back in the day.
