What's up everybody?

My name is Ben and I live in Columbus, Ohio. I'm 22 and I am currently a honda guy, and have been since I was 16, but due to the extreme rise in honda thefts recently (I had a built, turbo 99 civic hatch 440whp stolen from my apartment in July and 10 other hondas from my local board have been stolen since spring '08) I have am considering exploring another direction in cars and recently the rx-7 has recently become a very appealing option. I bought a 2000 4Runner for the winter a week before thanksgiving this year and it was totaled the night before thanksgiving so I will be getting a new car as soon as a settlement is reached for my car and I get a check which will hopefully be soon so I figured I'd sign up and check out your board to learn about the rotary world, see what I may be getting myself into and hopefully meet some new people :)

Thanks!

Ben

If I get one I'd be getting into a 3rd gen. I actually just drove one today at a local dealership. a '94 MB touring with 3k on a fresh rebuild from mazda direct in columbus, tein coilovers, and all stock other than that. 95k on the chassis/trans they want 10,997 which seems like an excellent deal so I may swoop on that here soon.

Welcome Ben :)
There are many of us around the Columbus area.

That actually does sound like a really good deal on the 3rd gen I have seen some go for almost 30k if they are in really good shape.
