FIRST CAR/FC!! 15 Years Old!

ya I had recently purchased a 1986 GXL RX7 FC for my birthday in February. I wanted this car for my first car because of the rotary and my dad had an Fb and I fell in love. When we purchased the car it didn’t crank over. We later took out the old alarm system(belonged to an old man and had it sitting for 17 years). Once it was rewired it cranked over. After wards we replaced the fuel pump, injectors, fuel filter. It finally started but wouldn’t stay on. Couple weeks later we purchased a new battery and it started surprisingly. I added coolant then to realize the coolant seals were bad and it smoked really bad. I am currently getting it street ported and rebuilded. Although, when i bought this car i wasn’t mechanically inclined but the after these 5 months i know so much about the rotary engine and in general. In the future I hope to paint it white, get bbs rims/ 14s equip 03s or longchamps, new coil overs, and other little things. My friend has recently bought a 88’ RX7 so we have started a youtube channel. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9G...5hpxNpHHfPYHXQ . Thank you for reading this and I hope I can keep learning etc. Any tips would be nice as well. :)

Cut and buff that paint, I think you'll be surprised.

Wow, well done on your purchase and a great 1st car.
we bought my partners son a fb for his 13th, but after a month he lost interest in it and it just sat and wasted away!!

cant wait to see where you go with it, the paint might come up surprisingly good after a really good cut.
try using some 1500 wet paper on a soft sanding block followed by some 2000 wet and then a good buff with some cutting compound and a good machine glaze (google and youtube is your friend), if your worried about cutting through the paint just go easy and slow, and try a orbital sander with buffing pads
