Finally bought another RX7

Hi all.

Just purchased a 1991 NA FC. This is my second RX7 as I had an 86 way back in the mid 90s. It had 112k miles on it at the time, and I drove it up to 150k and it had nothing left. Wish I would have kept it and rebuilt it, but you live and learn. It was by far my favorite car that I have ever had until now of course. I knew I would eventually get another one. This one fell into my lap and I had to take it. It has 69k miles on it and has been meticulously cared for its entire life. I'm fortunate enought to know the original owner.

Initialy I do not plan to make any changes to it except I will attempt to track down a factory radio. At some point the original owner put an aftermarket radio in it. I prefer the original factory look.

It is nice to have a stock radio..but you'd be looked at kind of funny when you go shopping for cassettes..lol!

I asked the weird looking sales guy at the music store if he had any Records and he said "NO..all charges were erased in 1985!!"..

I know the feeling. I just bought my my 3rd rx7. I had an 81 and a 91 and I gust got an 84 gsl sr. Have fun and good luck. A couple of great websites for parts are mazdatrix.com and racingbeat.com.

He could always use an adapter, too.
They even have Bluetooth capability nowadays.

I suspect that it just wouldn't sound the same though, compared to listening to audio straight off magnetic tape.

Or maybe one could go through the hassle of recording what they want to listen to (from CDs or files off a computer/device) onto cassettes to get the full effect...?

Thanks for the info. I'm sure I will be there a lot over the years.

Yes I plan to use the cassette adapter.. I had one of these for a cassette player in an Acura several years ago. It wasn't bluetooth, but it worked really well. The sound was much better than I thought.
