Fifteen year old with his first car

Steffan (Northern New Jersey) So I just turned fifteen and I'm a big car guy, its always been in my blood from my father and both grandfathers. My one grandfather who I still have has owned a 1985 RX7 back when it was new. For the past couple of weeks I've been working on buying the car off of him and I've got it and it needs some help. I have a car show in June for my automotive class held yearly and its time to dig the fb out of mothballs. :)

Nice man. Getting a 240sx was my dream at 15. Never happened but 5 years later got a fc for $400 that sat for 10 years.. Been working on it for the last year and is finally running smoothly. Sure things are still going wrong but they are minimal and expected. Good luck with your sev! It's a patience kind of battle. Looking forward to some pics man

Thanks! I hope your FC goes well, I've been requested by many people for pictures and I will post them when I see the car next.

First you should start by looking at what the problem might be with the car , ask the first Gen forums and good luck getting g it running

But I'm gonna give you some life learned advice

Do not give yourself impossible time limits and goals , make sure you do things the right way take your time and don't rush

Trust me when I do something I never do it half assed, I have a bad case of OCD so cleanliness and orderliness is a must whenever I take on a task, but thank you :)

I look forward to seeing some pictures of it. My '84 was my first car as well. It's been a great car to experiment with and learn to work on.
