Dan in CA Bay Area
Hi all,
Just picked up my first rotary today. She's a Mariah with the "killer B" motor. The car was my uncle's, and it's always been part of the family. It has been in storage for a decade, and it's in really good condition. My uncle decided it was time to pass it on. No words can describe how lucky I feel to have a chance to own the car. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a9/...1294119991.jpg I'll be taking her to Thunderhill and Laguna Seca this year with my family, and hope to meet some of you along the way. All the best, -dan |
Car looks great. Hopefully I'll see you on track.

It's pretty cool you have a family RX7 to be passed down.

Very nice, must be a Steelers fan?? Looks great, I'm hoping to track my car too but I need to make money to do so. Great setup, and another South Bay guy. I'm not very far from you, but it's a world away.

Old school I like! Maybe a darker yellow ;)

I'd have preferred all black with gold mesh on the Epsilons, but as far as i know, it's the only 2-tone yellow Mariah ever made. I may resist my creative urges, and keep it very close to its current state.
Main changes will be to strip it and cage it, for the track. |
Thanks for the comments guys.
Unreal day! Followed through the "bringing back to life" thread, and the killer B came to life on the first try! after sitting for 15 years! http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a9/...1295147960.jpg http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a9/...1295148266.jpg http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a9/...1295148265.jpg http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a9/...1295147470.jpg 33k miles on her now. Like a time machine inside. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a9/...1295147471.jpg Rubber suspension bushings are shot, as are the dampers. Hope to have her track-ready by end of March. |
