I actually do not own a rx7 yet, i want to try to learn more about them first. previously i have owned a 94 toyota celica gt, a 97 toyota celica st, a 2001 toyota celica gt, a 97 honda prelude a 2005 honda civic, 2007 toyota corolla and a 2003 toyota corolla s, so the rotary engine is a complete new thing to me. I wanted a 3rd gen but i dont plan on paying that much for one, even the shell alone ive seen one for 5k, so i think im going to get a 2nd gen with or without a turbo.

1st ?: besides doing a swap what are good ways to getting more horse power, ive read the forum "read this before posting" and i saw it said more air intake. but anything else would be appreciated greatly!

I posted this a year ago and I just got a hold of a 1988 mazda rx-7 gxl 5 speed. The idle is a little bouncy, if I turn the ac on it gets to about 5-700 rpms. I changed the spark plugs because one was cracked hoping that might help it out( I used bur7eq on all 4 noticed i need to have the bur9eq, I hope thats not all im missing). While driving it home it died on turns but would start right up. Today I put some spark plug wires on but have not drove it yet. I turned the ac on and it was still bouncing I posted a video to show you what it sounds like. I also put pictures of a rubber hose that I don't know where it needs to go, it is plugged up ( it is the one that is connected to the 3 piece splitter.
