Back at it

Hey Everyone!

I'm just getting back into the RX-7 scene. I previously owned a 93' silver touring, but never was able to finish the project due to...well...life. Shit happens. Thankfully though, things are going well and I've found myself in a position to get back to owning an FD.

I've just purchased a 1998 White RS model. Pretty stoked about the car (even though I have yet to see it in person, it's on its way from Japan, currently). I do know that this RS came with quite a few extra goodies such as the dual oil coolers, 4.3 rear end, closer transmission gearing, the larger "99" spec brakes, upgraded "99" spec turbos, 16 bit ecu, the "99" spec spoiler (an option on the 98), "99" spec tail lights...I think the only thing I'm really "missing" is the "99" spec front (which I plan to remedy with a plateless version).

While I've found it a bit difficult to find information on the series 7 and specifically the 98' RS I was able to find out the above. I'm curious if anyone has any other information/ resources on the 98' RS in particular.

Really looking forward to taking the car for a spin when it arrives (although I'll have to get used to the RHD)! Thanks for the help, and I'm happy to be back!

Welcome!! Can't wait to see pictures of the car when you get it! And shit does happen. And that's not what defines us; how we persevere through it and learn from the good and bad is what helps shape us and prepare us for the future. Very glad to hear that you persevered and got an S7!!
