Awesome. I was going to beg you for corner scale weights, but not if your drag racing it. Not as much of a big deal there...

That engine is SOOOOO heavy. Compared to a 13B anyway...

Hello, I am new here... I have rx7 1985 model and doing the restoration work now....

Yup.

Not talking crap about it though. Just means you have to mount it low and back in a car that will turn (which this one isn't of course). Makes gobs of power per pound even at 650 dressed wtih a tranny and a big single ;)

That's actually a very nice build. Good work.

Crashie 02-06-13 05:31 PM

This makes me happy, that not everyone on here is stuck on rotaries like I thought they would be. Expensive looking build.

GreenPanda 02-06-13 05:57 PM

nicely done man! what made you choose a 2j rather than a v8?

i been a 2jz junkie since day one. theres a lot of v8 swapped rx7s floating around, esp fds. so thats y i decided to go with a 2jz in a fc its somewhat different

23psi4age 02-06-13 10:57 PM

toyota power is always good!

twinturbo02ws6 02-07-13 06:17 AM

awesome swap

Crashie 02-07-13 07:40 AM

This may sound funny, do you have problems fitting around your steering wheel? I have a 86 my stock wheel was to big I'm about 5'10'' so id always bang my knees. I put in a smaller one and now my knuckles hit all my switches on the dash.

trinitrix 03-01-13 08:55 PM

Very nice build

DriftNinjaZX 03-02-13 02:44 AM

Wow, I never would have thought that the 2JZ would be used on the FC. If I had to choose, I'd probably choose the 2JZ over an LS1 swap now haha!
