If you don't mind my asking, which import company did you use?
|
Good looking car. I have a RHD one too.
|
I used international vehicle importers, found them via Facebook, there’s many of them on there, a couple out of Virginia that seem really good and fairly priced, Japanese classic llc is out of Virginia and they have some clean lookin cars |
Looks a mint example! nice purchase and welcome
|
That’s a really clean car to begin with |
congrats on the FD! addicted to how clean the interior is
|
Thanks! There’s little things here and here but overall the interior is great, nothing cracked or broken which was a big thing for me |
geez that's way cleaner than the one i bought, though i did get mine for a steal. is that a japanese stereo or did you replace it already? Mine only got like 2 stations on the radio haha
|
It’s some off brand radio they put in it lolol I honestly don’t even turn it on or use it, I asked for the oem one, they said they take them out because they get Japanese radio waves which are diff from US so it wouldn’t work? Idk lol I’m gonna put an oem one back in eventually |
setupfc3s, me too. Streetsboro here.
ecurbd02, you're not too far away. If you ever need a hand with something, just ask! It'd be awesome to get a few pics of your FD and my FC together. |
Heck yea man that sounds awesome! I appreciate it |

Using a headunit out of the region it was intended for just results in it picking up whatever is broadcast on the frequencies it can receive. 76-88 Mhz is analog TV VHF channels 5 and 6 in the USA, while 90-108 Mhz is 1, 2 and 3 in Japan prior to analog TV signal shutdown (March 31, 2012) Chances are that the antenna is the same for all regions, just a slightly different headunit. On the plus side, it APPEARS that you have an android headunit. I have one in my Expedition and it'll pick up both Japan and North America frequencies. Japanese VINs are generally 10/11 digits. Vehicle identifier is 4/5 digits, then Serial Number is 6 digits. For example, the reference VIN I use for Infini III parts is FC3S-222222, while my 20B's donor Cosmo is JCESE-100352. RX-8's go back to the 4+6 setup, beginning with SE3P |
