wide body rear fender install?

I have finally got my wide body fenders to fit right and now it is time to mount them. I just plan on riveting them on but my question is what do I need to use to seal them to the body. I have searched and came up with nothing. I have been looking at using some sort of flexible adhesive, but I am unsure if that is the best way to go.

Ill try to post some pics tonight, what did you use to attach you fenders to the car? I was also looking at 2 part epoxy adhesives

i have used 3m 2 part epoxy, it looked good for a couple years but i wouldnt mold it because expanding and contracting is going to be different on metal and fiberglass so eventually it will crack. or atleast thats what i think, someone correct me if they have had better luck.

Instead of creating a new post I figured this thread has been around long enough without a reply that I can just "high jack". My question pertains to rear installs so I figured it's justifiable.

So do you need to cut the fender well up to install wide rears? I've seen pictures of people doing it but I'm wondering if they do it to lower the car more without rubbing the stock body. Is it possible to just install a wide rear without modifying anything while still having a flush (no gap) look?
