It is stock. It's a factory option.

Yep. I have a 93 Dealer Brochure and they're in there as an option. I didn't think Mazda (USA) would still make them. I'll call Ray on Monday a.m and get a price.

Are the Aluminum Sills just as long (do they cover the same area) as the stock plastic ones?? They look to be a little shorter in the photos I've seen.

Yeah the aluminum ones are just as long as the plastic ones.

I have a set at home that I haven't installed yet. Do I put them OVER the plastic ones? Or do I remove the plastic piece first?

I would remove the plastic sills before installing the aluminum ones.

Thanks for your post and the email. There are a few sources here in the States where they can be purchased for about 135.00-155.00. I'll call Malloy in the morning and see how much they sell them for.

I'm sure they're very nice authentic JDM item, but I'll have to pass for now. Thanks again.

I just ordered an OEM set from Ray at Malloy. The great thing about them is that they're S/S, not aluminum. And they were only 144.00.

BULLETIN: Ray informed me that Mazda is going to discontinue the S/S Door Sills. He only has two (2) other sets available. Get them now before they're gone.

Thanks for the heads up, bro. Was planning on getting a set oh, one of these days, but since you mentioned they are being discontinued, I just put my order in!

Nice, eh?

Awesome. Can't wait to get mine. Ray told me that the "RX-7" inprint is in gold color. Your photo seems to have the inprint in chrome.??

I can't wait to get my set as well.

The sills above belong to "apneablue". When I first saw that pic on his site, I *had* to get a set for my car. Very clean and classy looking. I did not know that the embossed logo came in both polished/chrome and gold. I prefer the former, but if they are indeed gold, I'll try to polish the coating, or, just live with it. Either way, it's an improvement over the stock plastic sills.
