Right there from the battery in the passenger side rear bin :)

Same as him but in the driver's side bin.

if you cant figure this part out go pay a professional before you run it through the fender cause you cant find a way through the firewall.

i know how to wire it.. whats wrong with asking people how they ran it? maybe their way is better then how im looking to run it?

before i knew what i was doing i got my system installed professionally in my rx8.. turns our the way they ran it was poor. instead of running it along the drivers side the passenger side would have been the optimal route.

im just looking for alternate routes to wire up my system and pick what is the best to me.

as for those who already done the batt relocation, i wish it was that simple! havent relocated battery yet... its one of my winter mod plans..

 pick the shortest, least obtrusive route... Come on... It's really not that difficult.

I guess to try and be usefull, other than pointing out this is not good use of a new thread, before my battery relocation I ran mine through the rubber plug located in the driver's side fender well into the cabin then down the driver side to the back. This hole can first be found in the engine bay to the fender well, remove the plastic fender liner and there will be a rubber plug that will lead into the cabin. From there remove all neccessary plastic. This should go without saying but make sure the wire will not rub on anything as to short out and set your car on fire. Last thing we need is another FD burning to the ground b/c of a crappy stereo install....

Oh and later this is another good route for the battery wire except move the wire from the driver's side to going down the center console area. (should be a larger gague wire and won't fit down the driver's side).

If you're going to relocate the battery this winter you might as well just wait to run the wiring then, it'll save you some time putting it in only to redo it in a few months or so.

Ok Bubbles, proceed in this fashion...

1. Determine which bin you want your new battey in. Most prefer the passenger side for weight balance.
2. Remove the seats and rear interior quarter panels per manual
3. Before removing the bins look at the top rear of the bins to see where your cables will be going thru. Plot out a route there for a hole.
4. Remove the bins
5. Install the new battery tray and run the positive/negative cables.
6. Drill the holes - made mine two 3/4", for the short cables to the amp.
7. Most put their amp on the rear carpet area. Run the amp control wire up under the tunnel cover.
8. Re-install the bins, quarters ( after putting in new speakers there :).
9. Re-install seats.

Now you've done a professional job, balanced out the car while you're at it

I ran miine down the drivers side door trim (Where it says MAZDA) on the FC.

Also has the amp cords, and rear speaker wires...
