What kit is this (looks custom), and anyone got more pics of this car?

As it says, I'm trying to find out what body kit this car has, esp. the fenders and rear quarter panel. Looks like a very nice widebody kit, but very subtle. I'm lookin to throw on some wider tires, but I don't like the Pettit fender flares at ALL, nor do I like the other widebody kits I've seen (eg. Crashunit's car). Make the car look fat IMO. This one looks very subtle. Either that, or it's just the angle lol. It's obvious from the pic there was EXTENSIVE mold work done to make the car look seamless... The skirts almost look like Mazdaspeed GTCs w/o the front vent and a custom rear vent...and the rear quarter panel looks like a flattened/smoothed Mazdaspeed widebody...but that's just me guessing.
Anyways..if anyone knows what kit this is, and/or has any other pics of the car, that would be great. All I got is the name of the original file: ntnsracing. Thanks ~Ramy https://www.rx7club.com/attachment.p...id=90667&stc=1 |
I know what kit that is, it's the RE Amemiya GT widebody. I found this link on Intense Motorsports of the same picture. http://www.i-m-racing.com/reamgtwidbod.html Good luck on the $10k price tag. And that's no body work either. I think the molding would be another couple grand easy. Hope that helps.

Ahhh..it's the OLD RE widebody kit...that's why I didn't recognize it (from 1995). I don't want the whole kit...just interested in the rear quarter panel peice, if it would look nice. At this point, I'm considering trying to pull the fender out a bit kind of like what JT did... that, or since I wanna get my GTC skirts and rear bumper molded in, I'll see if the body shop can build up the rear quarter panel up some...something wider yet subtle.

I don't know if they still have it but Rotary Extreme had it on their website too. It was Blue and Pink...I think.
IMO the most beautiful kit ever |
Yea I saw it on Chuck's page...under the original JDM products section, ie, the "yea right, don't play like you can afford it" section lol :p:

Flaker lol.

That car was in an old Turbo mag. I dont know if I ever had a copy but I remember reading though it. I think it had twin HKS turbos and I know the body had a lot of molding in work done.

Hey man
Thanks for the link. But wut the...they put the turbos on the DRIVER SIDE?? How is that possible?? http://turbomagazine.com/features/01...oul14_zoom.jpg |
Ramy take a look at that picture, it's REVERSED
take a look at the intake manifold smart guy :) |
 Oh man...Thanks Charlie hehe. I guess I just couldn't get over the turbos being on the OTHER side to look at any other part of the engine bay lol.:banghead: Man...whew... For a second there, was thinkin "man, I REALLY AM a Newbie..." :p:

Hahaha! Oh man you crack me up.

BN blister rear panels look okay. The rest of the kit looks like ass though

You have a front shot of the car? The rear angle shots are always deceiving...don't show ya just how much the 1/4 panel pops out.
|
yeah, no problem. It only looks like the 1/4 panels work exclusively with the rest of the kit :(
http://www.bn-sports.co.jp/2door/ima..._blister_f.jpg |
Yea..you're right. That, and it's kinda a bit wider than I was looking for lol. Thanks for the pics tho!
|
Yeah man, good luck :D
EDIT: Here's another fender that you could be interested in http://www.aeroparts.co.jp/msports/r...d3s_rx7_50.jpg |
Is that a front fender or rear 1/4 panel? Also, who makes it? Any other pics? Thanks man :)
|
It is the rear 1/4 panel. It is the Msports/Wisesport rear panel and relatively affordable too.
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...hlight=Msports http://www.rx7store.net/index.asp?Pa...S&Category=379 I think Jason used to have the fenders and 1/4's but it looks like they are not there anymore. Hope this helps. TRAV |

i really liek the feed kit
http://www.rotaryextreme.com/jerry-13.jpg just not a huge fan of the front fender. |
Hey guys...I def. wanna thank you guys for all your help. I def. got a couple of good leads now :bigthumb:
bigmack000, sorry, I really don't like the FEED kit at all. Makes the car look fat in the rear. That's exactly what I'm trying to stay away from. Am I right...these two cars are the same? And although they're Wise Sports cars, they're running Panspeed 1/4 panels, right? http://www.rx7store.net/ProductImage...ortfullpic.gif Closeup: http://www.aeroparts.co.jp/msports/car/fd3s_rx7_f.jpg and this car: http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...6/fa15a740.jpg No one has pics of the MSport fenders installed on an FD, right? And this is the Border Widebody kit, rite? http://www.border-racing.com/border-...aero_image.jpg The Panspeed and Border parts def. look promising, but are there additional pics, including side shots? Anyone running them here in the States? The MSport is hard to decide on w/o pics at all of course haha Oh and are the fenders on the white widebody Border FD the same as the regular Border fenders (pictured here)? Can't tell... https://www.rx7club.com/attachment.p...chmentid=81101 |
I belive the black car has Msport 1/4 panels on it. Are you just looking for fender flares? There's a company called "little garage" that JT imports can contact for you for some awesome fender flares.

EDIT: It looks like the fenders on that Border widebody car are indeed diff from the regular Border fenders...the vents are taller, and no central hole between them. I think they look real nice. The SP car has a diff variation of those fenders too. Both look nice IMO... yea? https://www.rx7club.com/attachment.p...id=90667&stc=1 |
