Will a good waxing help clear up light scratches and very very slight oxidation?

Wax is ment to protect the paint. To get rid of oxidation and fine scratches, use a clay bar system and a polish (I use mothers clay and 3m finish restorer). Once you clay and polish your car, follow it up with a good wax(like zymol, zaino, klaus, ect).

yeah, for me i see that a good waxing makes my paintjob looks like it is new....... the only problem is it wears out after a week or so

Wax might help hide it, but polishing will remove or make them less deep

polishing before waxxing will make your paint look 100% better then just waxxing alone.

i like to use Meguires show polish. comes in a tan bottle then go over that with a couple coats of Zymol. works like a charm

Just make sure to use the real zymol carnuba wax, and not the cleaner wax.

I highly recommend that you get a Random Orbital bufffer and some GOOD polishing compound. I recently polished and waxed my car and the car looks Killer. With an random o. buffer you don't any swirls and you actually can buff out most light scratches. My paint job feels silky smooth to the touch...

BTW: I got the Black & Decker buffer on ebay of $15.00 ! ! !

zaino is the best stuff out there. Get their z2, z5, z6,z18. First clay bar the car, then use z5 to remove swills, then z2 followed by z6. The stuff is amazing.buy it and your thank me later.

use a buffer to get thoes light scraches out. sometimes was and polish can make thoes light scraches stand out even more. if you buff it will get most of them out. but make sure to not buff to hard or you will end up taking off too much paint.
