Tip for replaceing door panel.
6 Attachment(s)
I came across a little trick I thought I’d share for putting on door panels. This was done on an 85 SE. If your car is this old, all the little plastic and rubber pieces for the body work and interior are pretty dry and brittle. I wanted to replace this door panel on my SE from the door panel on my GS, but the SE didn’t have any of those rubber things in the door holes to press the door panel in. I tried robbing them from the GS, but most broke. So what I did is cut some bicycle innertube and placed them in the door holes. It worked great. If you place them in the holes opposite the bend in the tube, they will stay open until you press the door panel in.
