Stereo bracket template
Has anyone made stock stereo bracket templates before? I feel if I tried making my own I would fuck up the template and won't fit properly.

what are you refering to? like a plastic panel you put into a double din with like gauge cut outs?

ok youve told me twice what you want to do but yet you havent answered my question or actually explain what this bracket is or does..... a stereo bracket template is so broad.

I need a template of the stock bracket so I can make my own out of a flat piece of metal and then form it myself. How hard is that to understand? What I explained in my second post should be enough for anyone to understand what I need it for. I'm not putting any gauges in it, just something in the outline of the stock stereo mounting brackets to custom fit what I plan on doing to it. Does that make any sense now?

well nice job being a jackass for someone trying to help.
After you numerously repeat yourself about a "bracket" your last post makes it sound like youre talking about the interior plastic "Trim" I will be taking mine off this week and could have easily traced it for you made a cad drawing of it laser cut it for you so you would have a template to route out or trace too bad youre a jackass to the only person trying to help in your thread good day. |
Haha ^ I agree. You want a single DIN in.....a car... FB, FC, FD?? just a flat piece of metal over the space you already had? You need details to get any help. I'm doing a single DIN Kenwood in my FB with 3 gauges underneath. Where the gauges are you could use a pocket, that was my other idea. You say you're doing a Ford Taurus coin/cup holder. Does that have a pop-out cup holder? Won't that get in the way of your shifter? Pictures would help. I'm willing to pitch in if I can. Just please don't degrade experienced members with implying that they cannot understand a shallow, unexplained proposal.

The stock metal brackets on a 90 fc convertible that screw to the side of the stock stereo to hold it in place. Wasn't trying to be a dick, just bad week at work, so sorry.
