Shine Sidesteps/Sideskirts questions
 
im wanting to order these from the shine website but what does FRP stand for? i want it to b black flexable material like my front lip but im not realy wanting it to b fiberglass. if someone can get me straightened out on this i am ready to order them today.


te only options i see are FRP , carbon , or kevlar

fiber reinforced plastic/polymer?
so prolly just carbon fiber wrapped?

my guess...and its only a guess.....but my guess is yes its flexible

yea, i tryed to call them a few times this am but i got no answer. was hoping someone on here had ordered them, if not i will try and call again monday.

frp is flexible... atleast more so then just fiberglass, carbon fiber, or kevlar... but ya talk to the people @ shine auto.

Thought it meant Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic(or polymer) as stated above.

My rear diffuser was FRP. Flexible, but not as much as the plastic on your front lip. It will bend to a point, then crack. It will crack if hit hard enough (ie rock chips at speed can put tiny cracks in it)

That being said, SHINE has the FRP pretty thick IMO.

They hold up alright. I have had my frp set for over a year now. Still look nice and dark and have held to the car like a charm. Just dont have people step on it thinking its a sidestep for your lowered vehicle

thanks for the input guys i just ordered them. do they come in black? also what rear diffuser did you go with?

thanks man. how is your race build coming along? i got mine tuned last week and it made 363 hp and 362 tq with just a ls6 intake, tiny can, and jtr headers.

Actually, I sold my car to my friend Ruler_Mark...currently has an LS3 going in it to replace the LS6. You should be able to tune up to 400+...what cam are you running?
