Scoot hood modification

I am getting the car repainted and decided to modify my scoot hood.

The cowel part forced air to either side of the intake. The way the hood was designed does not allow the air to flow smoothly and it doesn't really do much.

I cut a hole, approx. 4 inches wide and 8 inchs long over the intake and blocked off the back of the tunnel. All the air that flows through will now go directly on to the intake.

I'll post some picks when its done.

Has anyone done this before?

we convert all our pre-auto cars to a "ram-air" setup :) such as this car ....: www.pre-auto.com/re

Awww, that means there are some other FDs in Utah using that ram-air setup that I wanted to do.

I also thought about modifying my scoot hood in a similar way, using the front opening as another point for cool air intake by making a tunnel for it that fits over an opening in a modified airbox. Pics would be cool once you finish!

Go up to Logan and check out Chris's car. He will take good care of you.
