Well...

It's not my cup of tea either, but I am sure that car is worth double or triple just about anyone else's car on the board.

It does look like an angry Pokemon or something though...

That I highly doubt. It's only WORTH what someone will pay, not how much has been invested.

I would buy it JUST to restore it to origional specs. Then I'd put the lights on a Supra..... Just for fun of course.

i don't think it looks that bad, although i bet from a side angel it looks nasty, bc those celica lights bulge too much.

I think it would look alot better if it wasn't with the '99 turn signals, which don't work with them.

I can't believe in all these years nobody has ever come up with a factory-quallity light kit for these cars, so i can't really blame this guy for wanting to do SOMETHING.

Yeah, it's ok. Seems like they did a very good job at integrating in. I take more offense to the graphics then the lights.

What's sad is that the guy probably has alot better lighting then most FD owners - which qualifies it as a 'functional' upgrade. What's rice about that?;)

dclin 02-02-03 07:57 PM

Hmmm, now that I look at it, I'm wondering how it would look with the TRD light covers in place (that make the lights look smaller).

Too bad I've always associated 7s with pop-ups - that would have been an interesting project.

I like it. It's new and different. Variety is the spice of life. I'm sure the ladies would be drawn to it, and to its pilot.

RX7FD 02-02-03 09:38 PM

Does that look like the 350Z to anyone else but me?

I agree. It does somewhat resemble the new Z.

I can appreciate the quality of work done, as it looks like it's a pretty nice job, but why tinker with an FD, it's already the sexiest car on the roads IMHO. Hopefully I'll be fortunate enough to own one in the near future.

It's not new. It's a 10 year old car... Now, it's like Hollywood.... everyone wants to stay young, so they get a facelift...

I could care less if ladies are drawn to it or not.... I don't drive the car to get laid. But if you like it, that's cool. I just think FD's chopped and merged with other cars should be put down; Like a horse with a broken back.

If you want variety, buy 3 FD's instead of fucking one up. :)

I agree. I just think the integrity of design should be left alone... (But that's my opinion) I'd rather see Rotaryextreme sleeklights...

On a side note... Is the hood functional? That could be a good thing also. I just think the lines are too sharp..

i think that car needs to magically explode with the driver in it for being :gay:

:withstupi I also think the paint has a lot to do with it. Maybe if it was black, and those were S2000 headlights, it would be better.

Maybe.... But I'm willing to bet it sits on 20's or some dumb shit... And couldn't get out of it's own way.

I agree. I personally like pop-up headlights anyway- the nice sleepy ones...

TwinTurbo93 01-29-04 03:54 PM

Is not as hirrible as it looks, but they totaly don't fit the car looks though, and they should of had them smoked like the 99 bumper lights.
Otherwise the FD looks bad ass.

teamafx 01-29-04 05:30 PM

Why does everyone pull up ancient posts?

MAZDASPEEDS FD3S 01-29-04 07:22 PM

Post is older than dirt, but if the owner wanted those lights on his car he should have sold it and bought a fucking celica.

wargoblin 01-29-04 08:00 PM

I always see supra tail lights on honda's. This is sort of similar. But, I always say, we should put Civic lights on one supra and see how they like it. But that'd be a waste of a good supra.

user 9348703 01-29-04 08:24 PM

I saw that a long time ago, FD on ebay I think... Doesnt fit the ROUND lines of the FD, but fits the SQUARE lines of the car it came on hehe

fd3s93 01-30-04 02:40 AM

if that conversion was back in the days..it would of been sweet but nowadays any type of light conversion of another car is just terrible.
