I want to replicate what EFSO did earlier in this thread. The S2 RX-8/NC Miata/CX-7 steering wheel is for my money at least, the best looking wheel we could possibly have for our cars.

I reached out to him but no luck as of yet. Any ideas on how to implement this?

It's also worth a look at Mazda2 steering wheels. Very inexpensive and look almost identical to the Miata/RX-8 wheel referenced in this thread.

I really like the steering wheel in the new mazda's. Anyone tried to fit them on a FD already?

Love to know the answer to this! I know the ND Miata wheel has the spline type connection (as opposed to the hexagonal one on some mazda wheels)

So in theory could that also be fitted?

Tell me about it. That wheel looks sick in our cars...

Single stage to dual stage Airbag

Pretty late to all this, but regarding the airbags. This threat on Bimmerfest might help out a little if someone want to do a conversion. https://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sh....php?t=1319725. I’m not sure if it will work or not But I’m sure they will be pretty similar.
