Rotary Extreme Pro Diffuser Clearance
Alright, if you've got a pro diffuser i'd love to see pictures. More importantly, how is the clearance for you guys ? From what I've heard its almost impossible to get up driveways, but I was wondering if it's capable of every day driving without clenching your teeth every time you go up or down a dip. Thanks !

its not ideal for daily driving. it limits the incline you can take and freaks you out when you see bumps in the road. a friend of mine had one and he takes his car out maybe 2-3 times a week at most, he got unlucky one night and it exploded on the highway from all the abuse. you have to be really careful

Kevin Landers has one of his and his driveway is almost straight up...haven't heard him complaining
|
My car is fairly low and I rarely have issues but I have had a few over more severe elevation changes. I have more issues with the front bumper than with the rear diffuser.

I actually put some rubber spacers seperating the peices of carbon so mine will actually be lower. I also made my own braket to mount the center to a frame bolt rather than the plastic rear bumper. |
what kind of wheels are those? :)

Yep, that is correct.
They are Enkei NTO3-m's 18/8.5 +38 front 18/9.5 +40 rear |
Is that your living room?
|
Is it necessary to remove the rear mud guards?
|
Yes, or you can find some way to trim them

You can leave your mud gards on just fine, and your clearance will depend a lot on ride height.

Internal comsucktion, actually, the mudgaurds can work with the Pro diffuser from RE even with the bowtech generators. It does, though, take a bit of persuading to make it fit.
Just FYI, the Pro diffuser is the actual diffuser itself, and the bowtech generators consist of 2 fins that attach to the center air channel of the diffuser as well as two other add on pieces that attach to the side of the diffuser. These are the ones posted in the pic by Zero R. For visual reference The Pro Diffuser http://www.rotaryextreme.com/jay2.jpg The Bowtech Generators are the two fins in the center section and the extensions on the side of the diffuser http://www.re-amemiya.co.jp/commodit...ro_bowtech.jpg Even with the Bowtech Generators, the Pro Diffuser can still fit with the mudgaurds. Just thought i'd clear that up |
looks nice but id prefer stock
just personal preference |

Wow could you be more wrong? I own a geniune RE Pro carbon diffuser,(one of the first stateside to own one actually) The bowtech generators your referring to are additional add ons to the diffuser. The diffuser mounts to the car, the generators on the side of the diffuser. Next time dont try and tell people what they own on their own cars. Or at least pick a idiot who knows less then you. Truth be said Chucks carbon diffusers are made thicker/stronger than my RE one. -S- |

Yeah it's all about personal preferrence. Here is another shot the wing looks better in. It's one of those cool to some ugly to others kinda thing. Same with the hood, back when I first saw it I was like ewww. Then it grew on me. Now everyone has it and I almost wish I didn't. It changes from day to day.
