redoing leather seats pic's inside

has anyone used this company? how's the fit and finish?

I emailed them for pic's and this is the reply I got.

We can build you a leather interior for your RX-7 for $579.00 + shipping. This price will include FREE two toning in any of our 50+ colors. We are also now offering Suede inserts in any of 8 colors for an additional $100.00. Shipping is generally about $25.00 per kit.

These covers are OEM spec and are made to install in place of your factory seat covers. Once installed they will look just like the factory leather seat covers. We sell an installation kit that includes the hog-ring pliers and hog-rings for $19.00. Be sure and visit our website at www.leatherseats.com for in depth information on the product, applications, colors, and even installation procedures. I will attach some pics of our latest work to this email, let us know what you think.

i used to work at a shop that recvered cloth seats with leather in new cars. it is actually very easy to recover. just pay attention when taking apart the seat. the hardest part is going to be the back. to do that turn the cover inside out and stick it on the top of the back. then turn it right side out as you roll it do the seat. make sure u pull it tight as you go. also if ylu leave the seats out in the sun for an hour or so before hand it is alot easier to work with. once you get the cover on the seat just beat all the seams into place with your fist to make sure everything lines up right. then stick it back out in the sun and it will do the rest of the work for you. if you need any other tips you can reach me at moxeysrx7@aol.com

I work at a Benz dealership and I recover leather seats all the time. Its actually pretty easy. Be sure to buy the "hog ring" pliers. The only thing you have to do is make sure that your covers line up correctly with the seams in the cushions on the seats and keep them pulled TIGHT.

Another trick is to use a heat gun when you are finished to get rid of any wrinkles and tighten everything up.

I actually thought about finding some black suede ones for my car, since mine are showing some slight wear on the bolsters from sliding in and out.

i just recovered my vert seats with another companies covers. i had never done it before, it was very labor intensive for my seats but also very simple procedure. you can do it!! just take it slow and be very meticulous when it comes to placing the hog rings so that theyre level....what am i saying...until you do it you wont really know what im trying to say. just remember if you make mistakes you can always go back and redo it.
