anything else out there?

Yes, definitely Quiet Car. I use it and it makes a huge difference in sound levels. You just paint it on (3 layers) and you are good to go.

To recap:

Quiet Car: less expensive, less weight, better sound reduction that all the mat products.

check out my interior build, I went with quiet car, i can't tell you in-car driving results yet, but just by tapping on the door panels and roof, and then tapping on the fenders/hood (which don't have quietcar) there is a huge difference in how they sound.

is quiet coat a colored liquid? Iv been meaning to try quiet coat on my stripped FC, and once the sound deadening is off i want to spray. Then paint the interior cabin over the quiet coat.

I'm going to do Quiet Coat and some Mat in my doors to start and go from there.

Quiet car it is then :-) do u think I need 1 or 2 gallons to cover the whole interior?

It's black, looks a little purple when wet though. Simply painting over it will not look all that great unless you are a master of putting it on. and I'm not sure how durable it is. I would definitely want a carpet over it on the floor.

Theres no real point in matting your doors if you have quiet coat, with a brush you can easily get 95% of the inside of your doors.
