Pulled the hood release and broke the dash…
 

Hello, I recently got a 1990 Rx7 coupe as a mostly finished project car. I went to pull on the hood release and something snapped and a whole bunch of orange bits fell out. From the looks of it there were missing screws. It’s now difficult to pull the hood latch of course, which is the main issue I’d like to address, but of course I also want to make it right as much as possible. How would you fix this?

I'm not familiar with the orange piece that fell down, but it looks like your dash vent is also falling out.

Is the dash loose in that corner? I'd start by putting your head under the dash and have an inspection of what might be missing.

FC dashes are brittle, your dash seems to be very broken on that corner.

yup, that whole piece is hanging on for dear life.
