Power door locks/ Alarm system
Hello, I have an 87 TII that i have invested around 50k into and its all show ready now except for a few things..I need to install power locks and a damn good alarm system. So I'm shopping around for a door lock kit that includes everything..actuators/rods/switches/brain boxes or whatever. and then also an alarm system that would interface with the power door locks, id also like to have the power hatch pop too.. So i need alot of guidance when it comes to buying a quality kit. I dont want some china garbage ya know..can someone please show me to a few good quality set ups. Thank you

ok i got to looking at the rear hatch latch assembly and i see that it has two rods and two latches, the rods are linked to both move together so in theory i should only have to connect a solenoid to only one of the rods, but when i leave the hatch open and click the latch closed by hand and pull on only one rod to act as the solenoid and it moves the rod the whole way but only releases the latch on that side..ideally i would want the solenoid pushing on the latch where the hatch release cable connects but since its a cable i cant do that correct??
you can hook up the solenoid to the cable.
really?? how do i do that? normally a clip would screw to the rod connecting the stock rod and the new actuator rod. So how do i attach the actuator to the cable?
There are these for the doors, i might end up get one also.

nevermind..the solenoid ended up having a cable instead of a rod so it was a piece of cake!
i used 2 $20 door actuators and a relay on my hatch, connected em both to the rod and the relay to the alarm and boom opened, cheaper than a trunk pop kit, i used a clifford system worked pretty well no special relays needed for power door locks or anything just hook it right up to the brain
