I think that *is* the 99-lip on the standard 93-95 front bumper :)

I'm digging thru tcplaya's cd of pics, and there isn't a single pic of a MB with mudguards (or the pic is too dark to tell).

No Problem and it is 99 lip, just a funny angle so it looks a little like the r1 lip. It's Tim Devine's old car. Not sure if you know him but he's from Stl.
