Painting Brake Calipers...

If you paint your brake caliper's with High temp, should you cure them in the oven as per the directions? Is there any danger to the rubber components (seals, piston boot?)?

i dont reccomend this unless you send them to brembo to have them painted(which in fact they do offer that service) most DIY methods no matter how thorough or what quality of spray on paint you use will collect brake dust and look like SHIT after a while.

as for your oven question, curing them in the oven is a good idea it makes the paint harder and the temperatures the rubbers are exposed to in the oven arent anything that they wouldnt be exposed to in hard spirited driving or track use...

Why dont you just get those DIY caliper paint kids from ebay or automotive stores.

Their paint is heat resistant so when the brakes get hot, the paint wont melt and drip off.

I painted my calipers black last year but might paint them red before winter hits.

Only thing is you have to let the car sit for like 24 hours to let the paint fully dry.
