The New Mazda Speed R type kit does anyone know if its on sale yet, if so where? and any website with pics or info would be great!!

What type of headlights are those in that pic? The name is on the tip of my toungue :rolleyes:

Those are the Mazdaspeed HID light kit. I am picking one up directly from Japan. My friend is going to Japan in 2 weeks. Don't hate me when I get it. =P

I'd like to see more pictures of that kit, it look interesting. I'm always up for new choices for body kits.

So I think whoever these guys are getting the lights from should be able to get the body kit, right???

Those lights also look like the ABflug lights that accompany their front bumper. Is it just me though or is there a huge gap over the headlight where it meets the hood?

I was quoted around US$1500. How much are you getting it for, AArotary? How come our exterior parts have so much in common? Can you read my mind? Maybe you are my lost brother or something?

Yes, I got quoted for $1550. They told me that it is going to take 4 to 6 weeks or maybe a little longer.

That's cool. Keep me updated. From the pictures I see in the Japanese magazine, it seems like it will not fit with other bumpers. If you look closely to the front of headlight kit, it dips down a little more than the C West healight kit. I am getting it for sure even if I have to modify the C West bumper. If you get it before me, let me know how it fits with the C West bumper. I have the same one. If I get mine before you, I will give you an update on it too. Thanks.

I think the reason for the gap between the lights and the hood is to allow air to come in and exit right behind it on the hood extractors, it's either to allow less lift under the hood or to help the extractors exit more air out of the engine compartment for additional cooling.

It isn't all that bad, if the kit does come with true HID. Comparing that the RE Headlight kit is about 1500 retail, and from what I've heard the functionallity of the lights are like ass anyways. But thats just me, I can find justification for anything I buy for my RX-7 :p

Does anyone know if you can purchase this bodykit, mirrors, with the lights from the RX7store?, and how much everything is gonna cost?

I think you're right on the lift part. It probably also serves as an air intake on the driver side (or passenger in the US, but driver side on that car).

And yes, it does dip down much lower into the bumper.
