a new Look for a 93'

Hey i was just wondering what everyone thought about this setup.

please ur opinions as fellow rx-7 holders will mean a lot to me

Sony CDX-M730 CD Reciever
Sony CDX-757MX 10 Disc CD HOLDER
Kenwood eXcelon KAC-X810D AMP
MTX T610X3D Hatchback Tri Sub
Eurolite H4DP Headlight Bulb
Ichibahn 1020603 Shift Knob Tour Model Red
Ichibahn 1311103 Brake Handle Red
StreetGlow ELPCHMRD Pedals Chrome/RED
C-West headlight kit
C-West N1 Ft Bumper ('99 style)
C-West Type 2 side skirt set
Shogun Spoiler
Mazda Carbon Fiber Hood

I wanna get all the wires under the hood like replaced so its like red and blue but i cant seem to find where they sell replacements like that so your help would be greatful. also your opinons would be appreciated. instead of the C-West Front Bumper i was gonna go with the Veilside and instead of the Spoiler sould i go with the 2 piece aluminum wing? also the car is red

Thank You

Your help would be greatly appreciated

I'm not crazy about the shogun spoiler or veilside front or aluminum wings for that matter.

I would go with different pedal covers(sleddriver's(sp?) maybe??) and I would do a search for headlight bulbs before buying any. Of course HID's are the best but there was a discussion brought up in the 3rd gen forum as to which bulbs do work the best.

I like the C-West headlight kit personally and I like the N1 front bumper. The sideskirts are ok but won't look right with that n1 front unless you get a rear bumper as well IMO.

Scratch the Eurolights - Don't need 'em with the C-west light kit

Scratch the Ichiban crap and get a nice Momo or Sparco knob

Run, don't walk, as far away from those pedals as you can. If anything, the Sparco 'grip' pedals

Forget the Shogun spoiler: leave it at the swap meet....

Everything else looks pretty good though

Thank you drive through

:D

just the look

i was just getting those pedals and shift knobs just so it kinda matches the exterior look. i was planning on doing a custom interior with like different colors but then i saw the carbon fiber shift knob from mazda speed and kinda fell in love with it.

also should i get a wing, spoiler? i kidna dong like the back of the rx-7 all empty.

also do u know which HID lights were the best with the 3rd Gen?

Dude, you are going to spend all that money and your car is going to be slower than when you started. If you wanted to do all that you should have bought a civic.

Shogun/veilside/invader/combat=CRAP

They all ruin the nice stock lines of the FD,
and any car for that matter.

insomniac 10-10-02 08:06 AM

you're going to be "All show, no Go"
spend some money on some real mods

blank-rx7 10-10-02 03:11 PM

=)

its not like im not gonna mod on performance, i was just trying to get an outside look to go with the power of the FD.

You know, power is good but so how its presented =)

tk5dan 10-11-02 05:13 PM

all show and no go = crap. I feel that if you "rice" out an rx-7 someone should kick your ass. Just look at that one guys red rx-7 with the ugly rims and custom mirrors on the hood. I believe the subject is "mo pix" Worst car i have ever seen in my life right there :D

All show and no go, Whats he gonna do? replace the rotary with a VTEC monster? You act like the FD is SLOW stock... Its not the fastest car out there stock, but itll whip the ricers that are gonna want to race him because he matches them...

blank-rx7 10-13-02 04:40 AM

lol

i plan to upgrade the rotary from a 13B to a 20B.

Like I said I just want to make it nice on the outside as well.

Also can anyone help me look for a body kit that actually allows me to put a license plate on the front?

I live in NY so i need one on FRONT and Back of the car, ugh a pain but what u gonna do eh?

Thanks
Phil

tk5dan 10-14-02 12:38 PM

How much money do you have? A 20b cost alot and for a non-expieranced car person, i wouldn't suggest putting that engine in your car.

mazdaspeed00 10-14-02 10:36 PM

if u have enough money for a 20b install i would suggest spending a bit more money on better quality products. street glow, Ichibahn, sony, and mtx arnt exactly the best products out there.

rx7speed811 10-15-02 05:57 AM

hey, ive got an idea... get an rx7 first, then you will crash it and not have to worry about any of this stuff!

"lol, i plan to upgrade the rotary from a 13B to a 20B." HA!

this isn't like swapping a D16 for a B18C5 V-tec y0! i hope you have a spare $45,000 lying around for that swap!

by the way, your mod plans = teh ghey suck!

Are we forgeting that he should be spending money on reliability mods first? Maybe a downpipe? AST?

True the FD isn't the slowest car stock but if it's not running right because he didn't put the money into making sure everything is running right then he could end up getting whipped by ricers..

Not mention you have a new breed of civic owner now as more of them are starting to get out of "ricey" stuff and more into turbos, spoon sports goods, etc and really just more real performance parts. Even still it would be sad to get beat by a cibic in a FD..
