Need some advice on paint set up for FD!

Ok so lets get a poll to help me with some feedback on what looks hot :)

here is my car now:

http://timmer.fragism.com/22.jpg

its a tinted metallic black 93 FD with a veilside kit (i know, i know) shaved wing and shaved rear wiper complemented with a c-west headlight kit (no covers yet - where do I buy these?!). Its rolling on 16x8 Toora one-lugg 10spoke alloy wheels hiding black painted calipers.

I need to get it repainted because the previous owner fucked up the paint job

(looks like he tried to do it himself in spots - the c pillar, door, quarter panels, hood is a slightly different shade then the bumper, overall its a poor job but it looks good from 10 feet away)

So I have a couple options and about 1,750 total to spend (estimate 1500 for paint and 250 for rims to get painted and remounted)

Originally i was going to get the rims powdercoated but due to the fact that Ive read bad things about aluminum alloy wheels + powdercoating and the local powdercoating guy cant even look at them for another 4 weeks has turned me off. (I cant afford to ship them and I cant afford to be without wheels for ANOTHER 4 weeks)

I was really thinking about doing a silver just on the outside meaning keeping the doorjambs, hatch, and engine area all metallic black. I thought it would be a really good contrast with the doors open and I could add cf and black accents (vents, cf hood, hatch, etc.) to go with that colour. I love the silver + cf/black look. I looked up both the spirit-r titanium grey and the bmw metallic silver and I like both as shades of silver/grey to use.

The other option is just reshooting it metallic black. A couple of my friends have told me that the FD looks best in a dark colour. Reshooting it metallic black or regular black (but doing it right) is the least expensive option.

Im doing all the prep work myself (sanding... by hand :( ouch ) and already have the rims ready.

So give me help :(

Im wary of going black + black rims because I think that may be a bit overkill. (I have black painted calipers and black tint already)

Just re-shooting the original colours is the cheapest and easiest [black + silver] - if I do that I could afford to buy a set of seats or something (not corbeaus or name brands, but good seats with harness slots - my friend bought a pair off ebay and they look + feel exactly like A4s with a quarter of the price)

So here I am, I have to get the rims done soon because I need my car, the paint is coming later on but I would kind of like to get the rims done in theme with the paint.

Black is by far the best color for any car IMO, but only when it is clean. On the other hand black is by far the worst color went it comes to dents and scraches and keeping it clean,so i say go silver black is a PITA to mantain.

I dont think that I would leave the door jams black, I think it would look bad, but I have never seen it either. As far as the engine bay goes i think that would look O.K.

This is roughly the same setup I am hoping to run, so I am assuming it is going to look good with titanium grey with gunmetal rims. I would also like to hear what other people think also. Please post...
