Mazdaspeed GTC Wing

Hey, if a car has a mazdaspeed rear wing the tall one, if I wanted to swap that off and put in a stock r1 wing would it fit the same holes as the mazdaspeed ones?

Thank You

Gary

Wing

I'm not sure about how they bolt up. I know there are four holes that bolt the stock [base] wing down.

If you end up selling the GTC wing, let me know! :)

As far as I know the GTC wing was originally designed to fit into the inner 4 bolts (2x2 pods + underneath supports) of the stock wing. The outer 4 bolts of the stock wing (also 2x2 pods) are covered with 2 fairings. If you look at older pics of Damian's car you can see those fairings. They are painted the same color as the body.

So to answer your question, if the GTC wing was installed as expected onto a car that originally had the stock wing, you should be able to swap back fairly easily. If your car was originally a touring or base without the wing, it depends on how the person installed it, and how accurate they were in their drilling of the bolt holes.

No you cannot swap the GTC wing w/ the stock wing. Two of the holes line up but the other two don't. The GTC wing matches up with the holes from the 99Spec wing.

You can see the ugly plug I had to put on where one of the hole used to be (look by the wiper).
