I'm not sure if Kirkey Road Race seats have been mentioned, but I came across this Regan Rotary Racing link that he used these seats with the stock rails. I'm thinking about getting these and cutting the bottom deeper if I have to in order to get lower, like how the stock seats sink between the rails. The only thing that worries me is the 15" seat is the only one where the shoulder bolsters will fit. The 16" comes close but I think it'll be too wide.

If you're relatively skinny, a Sparco Sprint on a fixed bracket will fit and will be very low.

Yeah I'd read about that. If I go this route I plan on using a back brace.
That I hadn't heard. But I'm not planning on doing anything more than weekend track days anyway, so it shouldn't matter.
I'm somewhat skinny, but not that skinny I don't believe. My problem is I'm tall and it's a Touring so I have the sunroof taking extra space. The lowest I've been is with the foam out of the stock seat and my butt was about 10mm off the floor, but that's super uncomfortable for anything over about an hour. The OMP HTE-R 400 isn't bad, I sit low enough to fit with a helmet and it's tight on me but fit in the car with very little modification, but I'm not crazy about the lack of access to the bin behind the seat where I keep the 2 cycle, coolant, etc. So I like the idea of the stock sliding rails on a set that puts me on the ground but is more comfortable than the stock seat with no or little foam. And I figure with the Kirkey I could possibly modify the butt and drop it between the rails like the stock seat to get just a little lower, or at least use some of that space for foam and make it a little more comfortable.

Check back some pages for my posts or in my build thread but I’ve been using Ultrashield aluminum race seats in my FD for years. Not as long drive comfy as a composite seat but you can get lower and have more custom options. You can absolutely use seat rails with them. You’ll need them to be fixed side mounts if you want to get it low.

I have my current seat bolted straight to the floor, and I sit lower in the stock seat with no foam because I sink between the stock rails. So I'm going with those first, with the added benefit of being able to slide the seat forward and back so I can access the rear bin more easily.

Your post said seat rails not sliders You can bottom mount an aluminum seating you want but it doesn’t make a ton of sense other than being easy. Most racing regs are the ones that mandate a back brace and I’d advocate that as well. I don’t see why you’d use an aluminum seat on sliders as it negates the low position you can achieve with the seat.

I honestly thing tube frame seats with nylon strap bottoms are best for maximum headroom, since your butt can actually end up BELOW the bottom of the seat. They're also more comfortable than aluminum seats. And cheap, too. And better looking.
If you have a reasonably narrow butt, though, I'd definitely recommend using a composite shell seat that fits the seat between the sliders (basically on the floor). They have the best balance of weight, hold, looks, comfort, etc. They cost more, though...

Hey guys,
a few pages ago someone stated the newer Version of the Sparco Evo will not fit anymore. The top measurement now is 610 and the bottom one is 520. Is that too wide? Other pictures show the seat mounted with slight mods.
Another option would be the REV, but that's not on the list. Really don't want to spend so much money for the spg when I prefer the sparco anyways.
Thanks in advance!

No rails. Custom bracket bolted straight to the floor. The rear of the bracket is bolted through the floor, not the stock seat mounts.

I have Bride Gias II Low Max with low cushion on the Type LR rails in my FD - so yes they fit
The only issue is that the passenger seat is hard to slide as it rubs against the tranny tunnel. Drivers side (RHD) has no issues. Fitment against the doors is fine - couple of inches of gap there.
Pics attached show fitment in my car.
FYI - The seats look balling, are super lightweight and very comfy - however be aware that I am only 5,9 and 175lb and the combination of low seat and high bolsters makes getting in and out a chore.....I strongly recommend a quick release steering wheel to make getting in/out easier. There is not much room for swinging your legs out due to the high bolster.

In an effort to clean up:
Will fit:
1. Stock FD (does this really need to be on the list?)
2. Recaros from the Spirt R
3. Gias Lowmax
4. Bride Zeta III
5. Bride Vios III lowmax
6. Mazdaspeed Type-F
7. Memoryfab s58
8. Corbeau - some models, they supply the custom racks.
9. V
10. Recaro Profi and or SPG ( with slight rubbing to the door but not much, if you use Recaro rails instead of bride it will fit fine)
11. Roadster
12. Sparco EVO with stock seat rail (shoulder bolster will rub on the door)
13. Milanos
14. Memory FAB S58
15. Tillett B6F XL 47 (which is the largest Tillett seat, meaning that they should all fit. Has a 30 degree layback angle, which is a little too much IMO. It will fit basically to the floor with the right rails. Probably the best option for REALLY big guys with long arms and short legs. Heavy and expensive, though.).
16. OMP HTE-R 400 (haven't bolted them in yet, but they easily fit sitting on the floor)
17. Bride Gias II Low Max on LR Rails (some rubbing on tranny tunnel making sliding difficult on JDM passenger side, drivers side is perfect fitment)
18. Recaro Pole Position ABE's with Griffiths seat bases. It was a very tight fit with only a slight touch on the drivers side (RHD)
Will fit with modifications
1. Corbeau FX1 - fits with seat modification. Corbeau FX1 Install in FD
2. Sparco Evo 2 - - fits with seat modification.
3. Rx-8 seats (can be made to fit by modifying the racks)
4.Cobra Imola (with some minor triming of door side shoulder wing)
5. Torino 2 (modify the stock rails and get rid of the seat belt buckle they fit (barely))
6. Japanese knockoff of Pro Drive (shoulders hit the door and leg bolsters will probably rub on the console trim).
7. OMP HTE-R XL (halo would hit the window, both leg bolsters would need to be trimmed, shoulder bolsters seem to fit)
8. Cobra Suzuka Pro GT (only fits driver's side and only after trimming shoulder bolster and both leg bolsters. Non GT model needed for passenger side.)
Will NOT fit:
1. Fighter
2. Sparco Evo LF

FEED, thank you for the pictures, exactly what I was looking for as a reference point. Great input as well, I am right around your same size.
I am thinking with going with a Gias ii for myself, RHD driver, and a Stradia for the passenger since it is essentially the same seat with a lower side bolster.

Also, FYI, not sure where you are shopping but I got mine from RHD Japan - they were the cheapest by far when I was looking,

Glad to hear. I have ordered a few things from them in the last couple of months and have never had an issue, was just concerned about this type of product really as there are so many reps out there. Thanks for all your help FEED.
