I want to relocate my stereo...experts please

Are there any head units that are smaller than normal (ie: no amp or cd player)? i want to mount it somewhere other than the dash and just plug a cd changer into it.

Gringo Grande 10-25-11 07:35 PM

Hey Jon! You can buy he head units made for motorcycles and they may fit your need. Ruler Mark had one in his car and it was about the size of a boost controller. Is that small enough? Hope all is well in NC.

AHHH mistah kevin beat me to it,,, I ran a motorcycle Head unit in the 'track' car, it was tiny as hell they even sell smaller ones.

Gringo Grande 10-25-11 11:55 PM

Smaller sized? Do they have the evot23 model? Small but potent?

allrotor93 10-26-11 06:23 AM

Love you guys.

Do they have a typical harness out the back?

Any with preouts or plug for a cd changer?

I see a bunch with 2 speakers.

Ruler_Mark 10-26-11 08:35 AM

Gringo Grande 10-26-11 11:26 AM

Hey Jon-

Unrelated but do you have any black datalogits by chance? Software not needed.

Ruler_Mark 10-26-11 11:27 AM

Hey Kavina, You finally going to tune your car so its not all wonky?

Gringo Grande 10-26-11 02:26 PM

Hahah! Fucker! Mark, where did that red FD come from and when did you buy a 3 rotor engine?

Edit: Gainesville Crew threadjack roll out!

Edit 2: If you are going to Markham Park as well can I come snuggle with you and drive down together?

Ruler_Mark 10-26-11 02:33 PM

dohckiller808 10-29-11 04:20 AM

allrotor93 10-29-11 07:55 PM

Gonna use an alpine mc20 and mount the cd player in the back

Rotank 12-08-11 08:28 PM

Hmm this peaks my interest. Anyone know where to get a good head unit, everything I am finding with google is a unit with speakers and waht not.

Tem120 12-08-11 11:24 PM

Nope , that's where the idea to search for some examples came from. Do you want a pat on the the back for the tip or something?

Anyways the rock box seems like a nice compact setup if all you want is a radio + mp3 solution.

Gringo Grande 12-13-11 03:28 AM

Actually I would...and if you could play with the balls a little too that would be nice.
