HOw to take dents out of alum hood?
 
Hi i just brough a alum hood and there is a few dents on it. What is the best way to remove those dents? is that something i can do? Thank you have a good day!

I'm sure you *can* do it by yourself using dent king and stuff like that...

but my honest opinion, if you want the dents to really disappear, and you want it to look good (ie you're anal about the smallest dings) i strongly suggest you let a professional do it

Yesterday I was at my body shop (which, mind you, is one of the best body shops & designers in the nation...truly incredible) and I watched him take out a few dents on a lexus...

First, he had to sand it down, flatten the areas that were sticking out, glaze it to level the surface, sand it, air/sand blast it, prime it, and use special 3 - 6 stage paint, followed by numerous rounds of wet sanding.... it's no newbie job, not to mention paint matching and blending it in so it's not obvious that only a small portion of the bumper was repainted is a whole other ball game....

my respect for professional auto body guys definetly increased a lot yesterday...
