How to removed belt moulding?

so I’m replacing the belt moulding on my FD and I know it’s held on my clips and pops out, but the new ones aren’t the cheapest and I was wondering if I should take the door handle off and the front triangle off before I remove it, or if it can be done without removing those two things first. I just wanna be careful and not break anything, thanks!

Ok so I used the magical search button on the forum, and ended up taking off the door handle and triangles, got the other one off but I can’t seem to get it to seat properally, all of the longer parts of the white plastic clips are in the little holes along the door, but it won’t seat all the way down, I’m afraid to apply pressure and break something, do you normally have to push on it with some force or does it just kinda pop in

I may be able to help in a week or so as I will probably be removing (hopefully not having to replace) mine.

May be better to post in 3rd gen as not much action in here... just my opinion.

I have a solution, it's a long process but it will guarantee you won't break any clips.

If you remove the door card, there is a very large hole through your door. You can easily see the clips from this angle and know exactly what the clips are doing when you're pressing down. You will have to take out your window if you want to access the clips from the hole in the door. Everything is pretty easy, just time consuming. Take you're time with the plastic parts on your door card, they're plenty of wright ups on how to remove it.

Hope that helped You'll have a very good visual on the clips, even before they snap in place.
