Hood Pins
hey, i was plannin on buyin myself a mazdaspeed replica carbon fiber hood and was wondering if i would need to get those hood pins. Ugh, if i do is there anyway out of it? cause i think they just look nasty

Cant get away with it on a replica.
Also if you ever drive fast, you will need them.. |
I drove for a year without pins on a replica....then got 'em because i wanted it to be a little more solid.

yeah. I have the replica and teh hood scares me. Im looking for any other way to hold it down better myself.
It looks like there is no way out of it. at speed it's real scarey, just driving around it's annoying cause it shakes all the time. |
I use these Momo Hood pins w/my mazdaspeed hood.
http://www.bakerprecision.com/momo8.htm You almost don't notice them (pic below) and they keep the hood from fluttering at high speeds. http://flathat.woodstream.net/RX7/Mi...e/P6230038.JPG K |
I use sparco hood pins on my scoot hood and they are excellent quality.

Ditto with the Sparco
|
yeah you'll need them because they're light! but then again if it's a repilca it's probably reinforced w/ heavy mtal or something! so you probably don't need it! but you're never to safe!
