hey guys, my buddy had an old pair of sony floor speakers, 130 watt max, 8inch woofer, 4 inch mid, 2 inch tweeter in each, running at 8ohms. he had them in his truck last week when we went to a DB contest so i told him i'd buy them off him for 10$
with my two 10" sony xplods (alpine amp) i hit 133db
then on my 2nd run i put the home stereo speaks in as a joke kinda, no amps (only getting 45w each) and i got 131db!!! the sound quality is way better too!
if this is so cheap and sounds soo good why dont more people do it? wow 10$ never went so far in my life

I have these old floorstanders, marantz 70watt max 12" all i did was replace the tweeters,ran 70 watts rms through them @ 8 ohms and they pound like a pair of high power 12" car speakers

i also payed $18 aus for a pair of kriesler 15" woofers in solid wood boxes, i couldent beleive my luck
