has anyone used a heatgun to restore faded trim?
 
usually, I use mother's back to black or just go to the car wash
but I was watching this

I dont have a heatgun, but could I use a hairdryer? lol...

I imagine that's the same concept as burnishing flooring, I don't think the hair dryer will get hot enough haha

luckily, heat guns are pretty cheap tho. :D

and amazing find on the vid, never would've thought heat could bring back faded plastics, there's a thread or two on here on how to paint the interior plastics with the proper paints.

It doesn't last long it fades back in a couple months.
