GlowShift Gauges
Not sure where this topic goes, but has anyone tried the glowshift gauges on ebay?
i have a set of glow gauges from ebay and my car is a 1992 jap car, unfortunatly my gauges are not flat, they have a beveled edge to them makeing it imposible to fit, guess some l8tr cars have flat faces. maybe they were ment for them.
So i have a set of gauges that are just sat in a draw doing nothing. These are the ones that dont fit my car http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Plasma-Glow-Di...QQcmdZViewItem I know your gonna say that it says 93 to 95 but i was assured they would fit, ill know next time :wallbash: |
i just bought them for my 93 but i havent figured out hoe to take the cluster apart yet. havent had time to mess with them. hope they look good.
no what i'm talking about are GlowShift boost, a/f, etc gauges, no indiglos.

I like their tint gauges, so it's a good question, but they r kinda cheap too...
Go Autometer.
well they have a package deal, so its kinda tempting, but you know what they say, get what you pay for, but then again i'm a good bargainer =P
i just bought some off ebay but they arent hear yet. i got a boost, egt, and oil pressure i will let you know how they work and look when i get them in. putting them in the gauge pod that goes in the center speaker on the dash. not tinted i didnt like the tinted they say it looks like a mirror in the day and why buy gauges if you cant see them
cool, that'd be great, what kinda rx-7 do you have if you don't mind me asking
any update?
I actually bought glow shift guages for my car, they work well pretty accurate the needle is steady as it moves, not all jerky like the cheaper guages, and the tinted ones do look cool but honestly they are kind of hard to see when it's bright and sunny out. But they are pretty kick ass in the dark. I'll take a few picks and post'em up for you.

oh and this is the gauge pod that i made to go over the instument cluster. i didn't think it was too bad since i don't have much expierience with fg or cf. this part is just fg though. im working on one that looks more like the smp one. im also working on a radiator panel and other misc parts.

I had recently purchased their 7-color boost and A/F gauges and installed them on my girlfriend 97 eclipse GSX. They arent a bad looking gauge, and are fairly accurate. I would never put them on any of my cars, as I personally like the higher end digital gauges or at least something a bit more proven for accuracy, butI have no complaints for what I bought them for (looks).
