Glass sunroof on 93

Has anyone ever put a glass sunroof on a 93 model? I've tried putting a glass sunroof on mine but the weather strip on the glass sunroof is much thicker than my 93 sunroof and was wondering what did you guys do to have it seat properly? Would switching the weather strip work? My 93 weather strip is in pretty bad shape, stretched and worn so it's not really as tight as the factory so i haven't try it yet. Thank you

I have one in mine, I didn't have any issues with the weatherstrip although I did buy new ones to replace the old worn ones

this is what it looks like installed, notice how it's not seating down flush. Comparing the two seal strips the 93 is definitely thinner.

I'll let you know, but rather trade with for a good 93 seal if you have one.

Yes it's seated pretty high and not flush, so yours is not like that at all? i'm going to try to see if my 93 seal would fit better, thanks

Mine is a 94, sits flush.

Let me know about the seal when you decide.

expensive, but seals are probably something to buy brand new due to all the weather and UV beating down on a 25 year old car. I found this link: https://www.atkinsrotary.com/store/9...1-69-825A.html. There might be another company that sells brand new also since I saw it recently. I'll try to find it, but there's a chance it's the same one from the above link.

the steel sunroof seal cannot be used on the glass, I tried, they're different

My glass sits flush with the roof but the rubber seal is a little higher. You can adjust it from inside, the mounting sliding nuts allow to rise or lower the sunroof assembly

oh i didn't know this, i'll try to give this a try. So all steel sunroof seals are all different from glass? even from the 94 and up?

Has anyone been able to find a weatherstrip for a glass sunroof? I called several places and no luck

I'm going to try a conditioner from Amazon but I don't think that is going to be enough to stop a small leak.
