get paint off scratched rims?
 

i hit a painted curb with my rims today, and yellow paint rubbed off on them. anybody know the best way to get this paint off?

What is the original finish on the rims?

Some LIGHT sanding should do the trick, but use caution. Of course like coolduke is saying it will depend on the finish.

they're Racing Hart C2's. Its a silver finish, not chrome, if thats what you mean

first try some Mothers Mag and aluminum polish...should come right off

I would try some cleaners first then as any sanding will damage the clear coat. If nothing else works a really fine wet sand might do the trick and not damage the finish, however my experience with aftermarket rims is limited to a non clear finish.
