fixing broken platics pieces

so one day i was messing around with my glove box and the plastic piece behind it that stops it from going down too far broke off.

so i used some creative thinking....i took the broken piece of plastic took some super glue and attached it to where it broke off...i then took a black zip and a saudering iron and kind of melted the zip tie over the broken plastic where it snapped off and it was as good as new with a little bit of sanding afterword...just sharing my thought of how to fix simple things,

I've done alot of plastic repairs with the soldering iron and most of them have come out great. I'm going to experiment with gorilla glue. It's suppose to bond just about everything and is super strong. Also, suppose to be sandable and paintable when cured properly. If you decide to use it, don't get it on your hands! I don't think they have anything to dissolve it.
